The size of this public mural is purposefully scaled to serve as a continuous photographic backdrop, against which a varied set of snapshots can be taken by those passing through this village within the metropolis.

The slideshow to the right shows the ongoing collection of photographs in progress. They are a collection of photos by the artist, by friends of the artist, or from complete strangers who sent photos via the website.

Completed on May 14, 2008 in New York City's West Village, this is the first iheart public mural. It is hand-painted and measures 7'X7'.

Located on Charles Lane off Washington St., on a small cobble-stoned street tucked between Richard Meier's buildings,
iheart public 001's location epitomizes the unique crossover of past and present at play in New York City's West Village today.
